Ok, I'll try and make this short. I have to update to clarion 10 version
for my software.
What I don't want to do is call everyone on the phone to update.
The ftp server is currently with Godaddy.. and we have trouble with them
on big downloads.. so we have another server at A2hosting.
I created a new exe, tested the update and it all works for version 10
on the new server.
However what I wanted to do is have people get their normal
update(version 9), then the next time it would get the update from the
new server.. which has version 10 on it.
I can't put the new update with all the runtimes on the old server
because Godaddy sucks, and I can't download big files.. the reason we
moved all of our demo's to the a2 server.
So, in version 9 on the old server I put the new server parameters in
the I deploy web update area, compiled and uploaded to the old server..
thinking that the NEXT time, it would get the update from the new
server... that didn't work.. and I really don't know why. I got a
failure right away saying the received file didn't match the file.. and
the update installation aborted.
The only thing I did to the update install was change the Ideploy update
parameters.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
