In order to maintain the flow, this message box seems like it needs to

If it's a standard Clarion message it needs a "Cancel" button, then
Esc will work.

Yes, it is a standard Clarion message. But "Cancel" does not make much
sense in this case. Hmmm... Perhaps I have to replace it with a
non-standard Clarion message.

Maybe add a Cancel button, but hide it (I am not sure if that would enable
the behavior or not, but it is an easy test).

Thank you. I have replaced it with a native Windows MessageBox API. It's
working as expected now.
