Comodo Certificate

A client needs a copy of the comodo digital certificate to put into the
virus program - where do I find that.

The one thing you DO NOT want to do is to give him or anyone a copy of your
private key.

It's fine to give him a copy of your certificate that doesn't contain the
key. (That's the "public" half of PKI.)

There are a number of ways to do that. If you have the browser you used to
collect the certificate from comodo, then you can probably export it from
there.

In IE, you'd go to Internet Options, then Content.
Click the Certificates button.
Highlight your code-signing certificate and click the Export... button.

Again, be sure you DO NOT export the private key. (See pic).

I have never run into this before. Yeah, they explicitly asked for the key.

So I think they gonna have to solve their problem internally.

Would "installing" your certificate suffice? If so, they can do that
from any file you've signed...
