Private key

I have finally got into the process of codesigning and it looks like my
Comodo certificate has been successfully installed - it appears in
Firefox. However, during the process, I got numerous prompts to backup
my private key file, but no information whatsoever on where it is
located. I event downloaed a tool that should help me find it, but it
didn't. I've searched the disk for files of *.pvk and *.pfx, but can't
find it, so my guess the files are located in some hidden folder somewhere.

Someone got the answer?

I scrolled down and found info I should have used IE, but that was not
an option.
I used Firefox, because Internet Explorer was not installed on Windows
10. The installer said during the process that I could not use Edge for
certificates, and they actually asked me to use Firefox when installing it.
I can export it to p12, but how does that remedy?

If I do not have a private key file, how can I make one?

Hi Bjarne,

While Edge is the default browser in Windows 10, you can still run Internet
Explorer AFAIK.

What Charles said. To use Internet Explorer in Windows 10, just type
Internet Explorer in the Cortana/Search box.

I first had to export the certificate to a P12 file. Then I had to
double click that file to import it to windows, making sure I toggled
the "make eksportable option" . Then I was able to export to a PFX file.
