Well, you can already run an auto-update "non-elevated" (with no prompt or
user intervention). But only if your installation is "per-user" and does
*not* require any "per-machine" action (e.g. write access to the "C:" root,
the "Program Files" folder tree, the "Windows" folder tree, the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry key, no OCX registration, no global Shortcut(s),
no replace locked file(s) on reboot, etc.). In this case, an "asInvoker"
manifested update can do the job quietly behind-the-scenes.

But if you have to update with per-machine "rights", then you can't do this
without an elevation prompt!

The only solution (not really) is to "open the doors". And it depends on
what you have to do. For example, to register an OCX, you have to "open"
the Windows folder tree and the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry key (a very
dangerous mission).

Question: can you add something to your CapeSoft SelfService product that
would allow to launch an update elevated? Some kind of a secret method?
