View Full Version : Moving SB from one computer to another

Hi Friedrich,
I'm building a new VM for development. Over the years I have added
several SB include files and set both SB and folders up in a specific
way. Now that I'm looking at a fresh SB install, I have to admit I'm
not sure where everything is or should be<g>
Is there a way where settings could be exported from SB in order to
import in another computer? Or at least take a look and compare? I'm
not talking about each project, but the SB IDE itself.
Best regards,

Hi Arnor,
I would suggest to do a fresh install on the new machine and try to use the
same install drive letter and folder. After that, copy the "sb10.lic" file
(see attached screenshot) from your old machine to the new one. This file
stores all the IDE configuration settings (including the project file list).
After that, copy all your include (.sbi) scripts from your old "Include"
folder to the new machine. And if you have files in your "Runtimes" folder,
just copy the folder tree from your old to the new machine.
That's it <g>
Does this work?

Cool! I did not know that. It's all on the C: drive in the VM and
everything is in exactly the same folders, so the rest should be easy!
Thanks, will let you know how it turns out!

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. Yes it worked perfectly. Downloaded
the latest W10 SDK to get the very latest SignTool.exe and everything
seems to be good :)
