We are getting GEN1053: Code Signing Process Failed: Error Code: 1
on the SHA-2 section of a build.

We are using the "Global SHA Code-Signing Type" (Tools... | Options... | Code-Signing)

Any suggestions?

Perhaps one of this? Timestamp server down or blocked by your protection
product (e.g. after a virus definition update), certificate expired, etc.?
