View Full Version : Get selected language

Hi Friedrich,
I'd like to read the language that the user selected from the common lanuage
dialog. I thought it's %Curlng% but always show 2055 and I can't see another
var that should hold it. I'd prefer to not create my own language dialog as
describben in the help - yours is perfect :-)
Thanks in advance

Hi Hanspeter,
Just use the following ;-)
Set Variable %SELECTEDLANGUAGE% to "{SELLNG}"
Does this help?

Hi Friedrich,
Yep, that works perfectly. Maybe dumb question: where do I find all this
variables. I searched in the help (languages) but no avail.
Thanks for your (very fast) support

Not a dump question at all. This internal (pre-defined, read-only)
installer variable is not documented (done now!). Its use is demonstrated
in the "Radio Button 2.sb6" demo project, but it's impossible to find it in
this context :-(
SetupBuilder 7 will provide a new set of How-To and Tips and Tricks manuals.
SetupBuilder 6 already has more than 500 built-in functions and the current
manual is simply not enough to describe what is already possible.

As long as you're my manual(s) it's ok for me :-)
Cheers
