View Full Version : Network Communication Error: 505010060

I have a client trying to install via webinstall. I don't think it's me
'cause it's 1 out of 50 or so clients this week....
Any idea what this error is? She also said she got a file not found type
error before the Network Communication error.
She told me the file name and it was MyAppName_00001.exe - which doesn't
make sense because that file should not have an EXE on the end.
Is the installer corrupt? I've had them run it directly from the download,
save it and then run it - but neither seem to matter.....

In my Setup ? or there machine?
They claim to be virus free, etc. They have a "tech guy" and he says its
us.... - and he's the expert, right?

Nothing you can do, it's their problem. Their "firewall" blocks access to
your server.
BTW, it's WinSock Error 10060.

Thanks Friedrich - now to convince them. Last message from client: "I had
my tech look into this and I don't have a firewall interfering."
I can't win in this situation.....

Yes, you can't win :-( The problem is definitely on their end. It's a
simple timeout problem cause by a security product.

So I explained what I think the problem was to their tech guy. They did
some testing and decided their router had "crapped-out" < ( a tech term,
right?)
