View Full Version : WEB update problem

Hello,

I have tried to make my first web update install. I have subdirectory
(.\DB) under app dir, where I have my datafiles.
Now I want to upgrade one file in DB subdir.
Everything works fine until I receive SB5 message that says \DB is not
writable. I take this as it tries to create the folder which operation
then fails as such folder (name) already exists (??).
Any ideas how to make this work ? SB help is no help - not yet.

I noted Friedrich mentioned something about WEB update example
script(s). However, I have not such files with my build 1130.
Missing something ?

As answer to my post <g>, I had something weird in the script after
several hours of adding and deleting lines.
Creating a new install made everything work as expected.

Thank you for the update, Timo. Do you know what caused this behavior?

Thanks,
Friedrich

Not really, must have been me - Timo Lahtinen.

Seriously speaking, I managed to get this installation into such
state that script editor did not allow me to move nor delete
any lines no more. However, it was possible to add... (???)

I will spend another night with SB5, in case I can reproduce
something like above I'll let you know.
This will be more less in next weekend as earliest, due to work I have
promised to do.

Timo,

Is this script *created* with an older SB5 build? The move/delete line
problem has been fixed in #1116.

Thanks,

As a matter of fact it was. Then I guess no need for any further
actions. FYI, my first web update (re-make) is now working fine. Very cool.
