Serial Number and Maintenance Key Subscription Generation Tool

All,

The "Serial Number and Maintenance Key Subscription Generation Tool" (beta
release) to generate serial numbers and maintenance keys on-the-fly is
scheduled to be released next week. This tool will *not* be part of the
standard SetupBuilder installation and has to be requested separately.
Developers will receive a uniquely compiled system. A current (not expired)
Developer Edition subscription is required in order to use the tool.

We'll make more information available next. But you can already request the
"Serial Number and Maintenance Key Subscription Generation Tool" (on a first
come, first served basis). We'll be able to process 25-30 requests per day.

You are amazing! I'm working on a shareware project where I want to
include a maintenance subscription and was about to email you to see
if you had anything in the pipelines or something you could share!!!

It seems to work rock solid. During the last 2 month we have generated more
than 10 million test subscription keys and serial numbers.

And we'll have both native 32-bit and (in a few weeks) 64-bit versions
available. So if you have Windows Server 2008 64-bit, no problem ;-)

This is great as usual!

BTW I prefer to have just a DLL so I can create my own application to manage
Serial Number and Maintenance Key Subscription just using that DLL.

A "complete solution" will be part of the RegKISS project (www.regkiss.com).

The "standard" setupPROTECT SDK comes with a 32-bit (and 64-bit in a few
weeks) DLLs and command line tools. You can call the DLL from within your
own applications.

Is setupPROTECT SDK is coming from SB utility?

setupPROTECT is already included in the SetupBuilder Developer Edition. The
SDK is what will be available next week (the DLLs and the command line
tool).

An extended version of this SDK will be part of Charles Edmonds' RegKISS
project.

It's just an additional feature so there is no detailed description on the
website. There is information about it in the updated documentation. If
you have specific questions, just ask!

The sPSDK is fully compatible with all Clarion releases.

There are Clarion, Visual Studio 2002, Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio
2008 source code examples in the sPSDK package.

A demo script is not needed because the "Edit Data Dialog [Multiple-Line] ->
Subscription Key" does it automatically. And to handle it programmatically,
use the "Verify Subscription Key..." function ;-)
