Error Installing sPSDK6

This is duplicate report (sorry) since I've already sent an e-mail to support
but this message contains additional information regarding OS's.

When I try to install sPSDK6 on my primary Vista Business (UAC on) machine I get
the following error:

Invalid Subscription

The detected subscription key is not a valid or expired!

If you feel you received this message in error please contact Lindersoft Sales
for assistance.

If I try to install it on my text XP system it installs without any issues.

Any ideas?

Good point. I think you have an expired subscription key on this machine.
This happens if you activate a new subscription and the IDE is not running
elevated. In this case, the IDE does not have access to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry.

Please close the SetupBuilder IDE. Start is with "As Administrator...".
Then select Help | Maintenance Plan... and copy and paste your *new*
subscription key into the Plan ID field. Click the "Activate" button.

The sPSDK6 installation should work fine now.

Your solution worked perfectly, thanks!

My maintenance expiration did not show as being expired and I just put the same
one that was already in there in again (running as admin) and then the sPSDK6
install worked.

Should my SetupBuilder shortcut always be set to run as admin?

The SetupBuilder IDE can detect this automatically - you never know if an
IDE is running elevated or not. So if the subscription key in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE is expired, the IDE tries to detect another subscription
key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. That's why the IDE displays the correct
expiration date.

The same is true for web updates. Both registry locations are scanned. But
the sPSDK installer only checks the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry key. We'll
add a note to the next build.
