View Full Version : Maint. Plan Suggestion

Hello,
I'm thinking the Maint. Plan Valid Until Date should be @d017.
It would make it so people in all countries can see the date and understand
it.
In the U.S., we don't read dates as yyyy/mm/dd, we read them as mm/dd/yyyy
What do you think?

Hello Robert,
You mean in the subscription notifications we send out, right? Yes, that's
a good idea and will be changed in the next notification.
The SetupBuilder subscription algorithm itself makes use of the ISO 8601
date format YYYYMMDD. But we can convert the output to whatever is
required.
Thank you for your suggestion.

Friedrich,
Maybe - if I may dare suggest something to your homour - do this optionaly
Some of us - like myself use a reg key look up and already do a
transformation of your date to our needs
Some - visibly like Robert - have not yet done so, and changing the date
format would be good for them
BUT changing the date format for users like myself, means rewriting our
procedures......

Thank you

Hi Jean-Pierre,
I think Robert only suggested to change the date format in the subscription
notifications that we send out when a new SetupBuilder build is available.
The subscription algorithm itself cannot be changed and is based on the ISO
8601 date format (YYYYMMDD)
At the moment it looks like this:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maintenance and Support Plan Subscription ID
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Valid Until : 2009/03/14
But it should be:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maintenance and Support Plan Subscription ID
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Valid Until : 03/14/2009

Hello,
Correct. Just the display of dates in the normal computer set date fashion.

Thank you Robert. This makes complete sense. Changed in our registration
