Friedrich,
I know this was discussed recently, but this just happened here.
SetupBuilder is still running, but as I'm building an install, I just added
an RTF license file and compiled. Then I ran a test. The license displayed
fine, even pressed the Print button. Did not print, just canceled once I
was happy the print dialog appeared. Continued the test all the way to the
end, which showed the finish dialog. Closed that and the background of the
install just stayed there. Pressing the red X produced the "application not
responding". Did not re-test to see if this was producible.
Just shout if you need more data or the script.

Hi Russ,
It worked fine here with our test license agreement. Awaiting your original
..rtf license agreement.
BTW, do you remember where this was discussed recently? I can't find the
link nor do I remember such a discussion :-( And there is no open issue
with regard to this. I think my brain needs a memory upgrade <g>

I think the discussion on that had to deal with SetupBuilder itself not
responding. This is not exactly the same. ;-)

No way to reproduce it here :-( It works fine without any problem here on
XP, Vista, and 2008.
Can you reproduce the problem at will?

Yup. And like I indicated in a private email, even your test install will
fail.
The key is to produce the license dialog and set the print option. During
the display of that option, press the print button. That shows the printer
dialog. Cancel the dialog. Once you do that, the install will stop
responding at the end. My default printer is a networked printer (TCP/IP
port). Would that have an impact?

Yes, I can reproduce this on Vista Ultimate 64-bit now. Seems to be caused
by the blue installer background option on Vista when you click Print. If
you disable the blue background then it works okay. Seems to be a threading
issue when Print is pressed and the Blue Background is active. Works okay
on XP.
I would suggest to disable the blue installer background. The message queue
seems to become out-of-sync under Vista in this specific scenario.

Done and it works now.
Just curious, the "custom" for look and feel on installers is only the
dialogs? To be honest, I never noticed this but after recalling installs
for other packages, this does seem to be the norm.

Yes, the "blue installer background" is still there for backward
compatibility to SetupBuilder 5. I would not use it anymore because it
really looks old-fashioned. The default and industry-standard is only the
dialogs.

I would highly recommend the Solid State Drive upgrade - it will kick the:
FLOS (Friedrich Linder Operating System) into high gear in very short
order!
(OK, for the rest of us, let's not start on a series of Wife - "Friedrich,
