Just received a call from a customer. He is getting this error. Have never
seen this error or had the install fail. Checked the download again here at
the office - no problem.

Sounds to me like his "download" file is corrupt. I have rarely had that
happen.

Hi Don,

Exactly what it says <g>. Archive integrity verification failed. Your
customer received an incomplete setup.exe. Similar to a downloaded ZIP that
reports a CRC32 error.

SetupBuilder supports an Archive Fingerprint Verification algorithm and you
have enabled this feature. The advantage of this feature is to offer a
layer of protection between the creator of an installation file and the
recipient. The purpose of fingerprint verification is to help provide
detection of tampered, hacked, and incomplete or virus infected installation
files. If your installation executable supports fingerprint verification,
the recipient knows that the installation file received is the file that was
sent. If the installation file has failed the fingerprint verification, the
contents are suspect.

Does this help?

Hi Don,

BTW, the install did not fail. SetupBuilder did the integrity check before
the installation process started!

Don,

What Friedrich said <g>.

I've found that re-downloading is the common and effective fix.
