By default I always use integrity checking.
Never had it fail (when the user runs the setup) before.
Any ideas?
Is it at all wise to avoid this feature?

Sim,

Getting that error message is usually a sign of a corrupt download file or
that a file stored locally has been damaged. If the customer downloaded
it, they need to download it again.

That is what it is there for<g>

Hi Charles,

It opens fine on my equipment.
Only one user is complaining.
Could this be a firewall issue perhaps?

As Charles said...
The guy hasn't properly downloaded the file for whatever reason.

I used to have users with certain ISPs who had that issue with HTTP
downloads, so I made FTP downloads available as an alternative.

Is the user on high-speed or (shudder) dial-up?

And no, don't avoid the feature! Better your user not be able to run the
installer than create a corrupt installation.

Hi Sim,

I doubt a firewall as that is usually a issue when they can't download at
all.

As Jane mentioned it could be the ISP.

You could try making it available via FTP, and you could also put a Zipped
version of it where they can download it. Some companies have
over-aggressive policies where downloaded EXEs are concerned.

Good luck!
